Aurora Input Series 65

Information from Oblotzkys site:

"The Aurora Input Series is a modern take on the classic custom keyboard design. It features slim bezels and iconic 'handles', and improves on a number of aspects to bring the aesthetic many of us love to a whole new level. While the case consists of a top and bottom piece milled from aluminium, it carefully hides the seam where these parts meet on its back and bottom sides, resulting in a gorgeous look all around. The typing angle is 8 degrees. The bottom part of the case holds a massive weight in place which clocks in at around 1.5 kilograms. It is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and finished off by bead-blasting its surface."

Features:

  • 65% keyboard with blocker at arrows
  • Aluminum seamless case
  • Silver anodization
  • Brass plate with fixed ISO layout
  • 6-point top mount leaf spring
  • 8 degrees angle
  • 19.6mm front height
  • WT65-G-Graphite PCB designed by wilba.tech. USB-C using daughter board
  • 1.5 kg stainless steel weight
  • 2.25 kg build weight
  • Manufactured by Salvun in Belgium

On to this piece in particular:

I couldn't make up my mind on what keycaps to use, so I tested a lot of different ones as you can see in the pictures below. I ended up liking GMK Space Cadets the most together with the silver anodization of the board itself.

Brass plate and switches. Wrong PCB at the moment, but it was just for testing purposes. The correct PCB is dark.
